    As a not-for profit organization, Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland operates two Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in Westminster, MD and Ellicott City, MD. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Nursing overseeing Skilled Nursing at our Carroll Lutheran Village (CLV), Westminster, MD community. Reporting directly to CLV’s Director of Health Care Services, the Director will serve a vital role in overseeing nursing care for long-term care.

    The Director of Nursing leads an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and professionals that deliver quality care and support up to 65 residents.

    Job Description:

    • Directs the day-to-day operations of Carroll Lutheran Villages’ skilled nursing facility with an operating occupancy up to 65, in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
    • Oversees daily clinical operations of infection control prevention and accurate completion of the healthcare MDS.
    • The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities and a “coach” persona to lead and motivate the nursing team.
    • Works closely with the Director of Healthcare Services/LNHA, Medical Director and with the entire interdisciplinary team as a collaborative team member.

    Qualifications:

    • Current RN license in the state of Maryland required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
    • 5+ years’ experience with Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Short-Term Rehabilitation.
    • Strong working knowledge of reimbursement regulations, nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.
    • Experience in a Person-Centered Care model.
    • A strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way.
    • Superb organizational management, budget, and time management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a large team.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Staffing Coordinator will ensure that all staffing decisions comply with CLV’s health care policies and regulatory standards.

    Job Duties:

    • Serve as Scheduling Coordinator; managing the day to day schedules for health care nurses and nursing assistants.
    • Prepare work schedules and ensure health care staffing requirements are met.
    • Assist the Director of Nursing with reviewing and completing payroll for health care team members.
    • Partner with local health care staffing agencies to source for contractual health care staff as needed.
    • Interface well with all Health Care departments, leadership team, residents, vendors and other customers in a highly professional manner.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 2+ years’ experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a health care environment.
    • Previous Experience working in a Continued Care Retirement Community (CCRC) preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task and work well independently.
    • Must be highly detailed with proven organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work well with other health care team members.

    Moyer Move Management is hiring team members for fulfilling and purposeful positions. Our move managers assist senior citizens with downsizing, and moving with our pack-to-unpack system for full set-up at the new home.

    We have openings for a full time Sales & Operations Manager as well as part-time sales account coordinators and move management.  Satisfaction comes from the (virtual) hugs after working hard, packing, unpacking, organizing, settling-in, hanging pictures. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet all day. Our company is managed via technology - must have smart phone and know how to use it :-)
