About Our Speaker:
Dr. James Richardson is Chief of Geriatric Medicine at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. His practice is devoted to inpatient and outpatient consultations for older adults facing problems such as memory loss, frailty, weight loss, falls and depression. A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Richardson completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland. After completing a two-year commitment in North Carolina in the National Health Service Corps, Dr. Richardson joined the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, rising to the rank of Professor. Dr. Richardson also completed a Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in 1995. Dr. Richardson left the University to serve as Chief of Geriatric Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital before joining Saint Agnes Hospital in 2008.
He is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and General Preventive Medicine. He is married and the father of two adult sons and has lived in Ellicott City, Maryland since 1997.
