About Our Speaker:
Jennifer L. Crawley is an experienced human services leader who has held both direct care and leadership roles serving older adults and their families in home and community based settings. Most recently, Ms. Crawley led the District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance Long Term Care Administration’s Operations Division. In this role, she partnered with District agencies, providers and stakeholders to transform the long-term services and supports system to improve access and service delivery to some of the District’s most vulnerable populations. Ms. Crawley was recognized by the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation and awarded the Team Innovation Award for outstanding performance and exemplary service as a District of Columbia government employee.
Prior to joining the District of Columbia Long Term Care Administration, Ms. Crawley was the Chief Social Worker for MedStar Health’s Medical House Call Program, an innovative and nationally recognized home-based primary medical care team. In this role, she led the design and implementation of community-based social work interventions for frail elders.
Ms. Crawley holds a BS in Family Studies and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland. She is currently the Administrator of the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence, Department of Community Resources and Services.
