We know that advance care planning is important, but sometimes it can be difficult to talk with your loved ones about what you would want if a time came when you couldn't speak for yourself. Too often, families don't plan for this point and find themselves in the difficult situation of not knowing what to do for their loved one during a medical crisis or serious illness.

Naming your agent protects your loved ones from disagreements and burden. And it ensures your wishes will be honored and heard. Now, Speak(easy) Howard is giving you the chance to send your loved one a precious gift - the gift of Peace of Mind.

    Here's how it works:

    • Choose between a physical or a digital gift to let your loved one know you've named them as your health care agent.
    • Next, you'll be taken to MyDirectives - a secure website that allows you to name your health care agent online, in minutes.
    • Once you're done, we'll send you two simple questions that help you share your medical wishes with your health care agent so you can talk with them about it.

Protect your loved ones from uncertainty and burden. Give them Peace of Mind. https://speakeasyhoward.org/peaceofmind

Resiliency and Self-Care for the Healthcare Worker: Facing the COVID-19 Pandemic The Coronavirus is a unique and unprecedented event, and healthcare workers are struggling to care for patients. Attendees will learn tips for self-care and resiliency to help them navigate the COVID-19 pandemic as well as concrete steps and tools for remaining resilient during this challenging time. We will identify the unique stressors experienced while providing care in a pandemic. Discussion will include the balance of authenticity, fear, and resilience. The learner will recognize pathways of coping leading to resilience as well as look at realistic self-care strategies leading to satisfaction throughout the workday. This information can be presented to those not working in healthcare as well. The emphasis will remain building resilience during the pandemic, but without the focus of those challenges exclusive to the healthcare worker. This education can be presented for 1-hour CE credit.

1 CEU is for nurses, social workers and case managers.  All healthcare workers will benefit.

All are welcome that are struggling with Covid 19 fatigue!

This Free CEU is sponsored by Brightstar Care and presented by Seasons Hospice.  Presentation via Zoom on Thursday 2/25 at noon to 1pm.

RSVP to karen.holstein@brightstarcare.com by 2/22 for Zoom link.
